2-A1MP

2-A1MP, more commonly known as 5-Methoxymethylone or Hydrochloride and bk-MMDMA, is a chemical compound of the cathinone class. It is a beta-ketone version of 5-Methoxy-MDMA, which has yet to have any types of studies done in animals. While many drugs like this have names that correspond to their molecular structure, this one is rare in that its name 2-A1MP does not have any correlation to its structure.

Common methods of use for those looking to buy 2A1MP are either oral ingestion or through insufflation, which includes the burning of the chemical component and the subsequent inhalation of the resultant smoke.

Anyone who is looking to buy 2A1MP for research purposes might intend to use the chemical in applications in fields like Neuroscience and Forensic Science. It is considered to be a biochemical with widespread applications in Mass Spectrometry.

Many have begun selling and purchasing this substance for use as a recreational stimulant, though it is not nearly as possible as other “designer drugs” or street alternatives to common prescription medications that perform similarly and yield similar results. The chemical 2-A1MP has been found in products marketed as bath salts, plant food, and in more pure tablet forms. Common effects of drugs like this include psychedelic effects in its users. This typically includes some type of euphoric feeling, potentially both cognitively and emotionally.

Users have also reported negative effects such as loss of muscle control, which includes uncontrollable clenching of the jaw. In irregular doses, the chemical substance has also been known to cause hallucinations of sorts in varying intensities. The supposedly higher intensity of these hallucinations is believed to be due to the slower performance of the drug itself, which may lead to a more potent amount reaching the bloodstream and therefore having more effect on the individual at the time of use. Beside the negative side effects, the chemical itself is noted as having a poor and acidic taste when ingested orally.

As any and all effects of this drug on human subjects are completely irregular and outside the realm of scientific research, the recreational use of 2-A1MP is not suggested under any circumstances. In fact, these side effects have actually led to action being taken on behalf of governments globally in the hopes of preventing this type of use altogether. One known and documented result of this is that the chemical substance has been listed as an illegal drug in the country of Hungary.

All products, including 2-A1MP, are sold as research specimens and are not intended for human consumption under any circumstances. The lack of testing done on organic specimens with this type of chemical leave the pharmacological and toxicological properties entirely unknown, and therefore this product is intended as a research chemical for forensic purposes only.
