A-pvp crystals

A-pvp crystals (full name is:α-Pyrrolidinopentiophenone) also known as alpha-pyrrolidinovalerophenone, A-PVP, alpha-PVP, O-2387, APVP,,PVP,β-ketone-prolintane, Prolintanone). it is a synthetic stimulant drug of the cathinone class developed in the 1960s sometimes called flakka or gravel.

A-pvp crystals  is chemically related to pyrovalerone and is the ketone analog of prolintane, and it is often used as a recreational drug, and is considered a Schedule I drug under the Food and Drug Administration Safety and Innovation Act.

A-pvp crystals Pyrovalerone is an inhibitor of the transporters for certain monoamine neurotransmitters, including dopamine and norepinephrine, preventing their uptake.1,2 α-Pyrrolidinopentiophenone (hydrochloride) is an analog of pyrovalerone, lacking only the methyl group that is found on the phenyl moiety of pyrovalerone. Like pyrovalerone, this compound is expected to be a psychoactive stimulant. This product is intended for forensic applications.

A-pvp crystals or Alpha-PVP smoking

It can be consumed by blending it with other substances. In addition, it can also be inhaled or consumed orally depending on the dosage and consumption. It is suggested not to

A-pvp crystals or Alpha-PVP dosage(& Usage)

the Doses ranging from 10–25 mg was often taken by the researcher. 4-5mg is the threashold, the feeling of 5-10mg is light,10-25mg is common, and above 25mg, the feeling will be strong.
a-PVP or Alpha-PVP experience(effects)

Alpha-PVP is similar to cocaine with lesser potency. It quickly dissolves when a user places it under the tongue, but he/she might experience a numb feeling. The euphoria sets in slowly, about 30 minutes after consumption. The numbness in the tongue follows with a mild increase in blood pressure and completely no desire of drinking water.

After about 45 minutes of consumption, a mild stimulation is felt and the consumer might feel drowsy. All the effects last only for 3 hours and the user might not even feel the urge to consume another dose.

The Insufflation method makes a user experience an euphoric feeling for a long time. It is hard to determine its potency as some consumers get affected very slowly when they indulge in this method. It works immediately from the moment it enters the consumer’s nose. The state of euphoria is achieved within 10 minutes of consumption. Blackouts are felt frequently. And in an hour a person feels sleepy.

The high feeling caused when you buy Alpha – PVP and use it does not last long. Some users claim that consuming the crystal form is better than smoking it as it does not burn their nose. In addition, others have different experiences. An overwhelming experience lasts only 3 hours and the desire to consume to another dose depends on the consumer’s history with such stimulants.

The most important effect of this drug is that it improves the creative ability of the user. Other effects include a sense of extreme happiness and a high level of energy. The consumer’s body relaxes with no cravings for food.

It is advised to consume this drug in lower doses and be cautious about an increased consciousness and hyponatremia and it can easily go out of control with higher dosage.

a-PVP or APVP review

Earlier this month TPR noted that a relatively new second-generation bath salt call “gravel” was reported to have surfaced in various parts of the United States, including Tennessee. As background, while first-generation bath salts — MDPV, methylone, and mephedrone — were outlawed in many jurisdictions, new analogues had been introduced to replace them and were still generally legal. Samples of “gravel” contained α-PVP, an analogue of MDPV. It seemed to produce impressive degrees of paranoia. Some samples of the drug were adulterated with methamphetamine and/or clonazepam.

This current study just posted online is thus a timely and important contribution to understanding this new drug. Using an in vivo and in vitro rat model, the authors sought to compare the effects of MDPV with those of its analogues, including α-PVP.

Like MDPV, α-PVP contains a pyrrolidine ring, a 5-sided nitrogen-containing component that enables the molecule to effectively block reuptake of dopamαine and norepinephrine, with much weaker effects at the serotonin transporter.

In rats, α-PVP produced evidence of psychomotor stimulation, with higher doses causing hyperactivity and bizarre behavior. A dopamine antagonist blocked much of the motor hyperactivity.

Although I tend to shy away from rat studies, I found this one important because it is one of the first studies of the effects of α-PVP (aka “gravel”).

a-PVP vs MDPV

aPVP (alpha-PVP) vs. MDPV comparison:

These are two very similar chemicals in structure, based on pyrovalerone and resembling non-identical twins in their nature, or a “female” vs. “male” mallard duck… however, they both walk, look and quack like a duck, not a duck/crow (as an example) **.

Also, my qualifications: Regular and in-depth experience with MDPV practically since the day it came out in the early-mid 2000’s, and a recent introduction to aPVP via a well-trusted and reliable source.

MDPV (appearance): Powdery white-to-tan.
A-PVP: Clumpy tan to dark tan.

MDPV (odor): Mild “pyrrolidine” type odor (like smelly sweat-socks).
A-PVP: Heavier (moderate) “pyrrolidine” type odor.

MDPV (solubility): Dissolves in H2O with difficulty, mild “pyrrolidine” type odor in solution.
A-PVP: Dissolves readily, heavier (moderate) “pyrrolidine” type odor in solution.

MDPV (smokeability): Vapes somewhat uncleanly, mild to moderate harshness/odor.
A-pvp crystals : Vapes very easily/cleanly, moderate to heavy harshness/odor.

MDPV (onset and duration): Slow to medium onset of effects, lesser dosage needed, greater duration.
A-pvp crystals : Rapid onset of effects (all tested ROA’s), 1/4 to 1/3 greater dosage needed, lesser duration.

Summary (useful info): a-PVP vapes better than MDPV, but is harder on the lungs and harsher. Effects come on faster, but last a shorter period of time and more is needed than with MDPV. A “rush” is possible/likely with a-PVP (particularly if smoked or injected), and unlikely with MDPV.

The “highs” are otherwise quite similar — plain old NDRI (norepinephrine/dopamine) reuptake inhibition and stimulation with varying/unpredictable euphoria, an increase in sexual tendencies and unpleasant tweaking at higher dosages.

A-pvp crystals “feels like” a cruder, harsher and less sophisticated (but faster-acting and smoother burning) version of MDPV. MDPV is like “high end/fancy/fussy” and aPVP is “low end, poor man, easy-going” version of the same thing.

Given the faster onset and shorter duration of effects, it is possible that a-PVP will be more compulsive than MDPV via rapid onset ROA’s (smoking, slamming), but it may take longer to take hold and have an easier/shorter comedown when the user regains willpower. Vapers may experience lung damage/pain with a-PVP (temporary, most likely, but who knows). It is likely (from my research, including contact with a professional source that suggests it) that a-PVP degrades/loses potency substantially faster than MDPV, whether in solution or not, and so care in storage is more of a factor.
